I have used Medical Mobile Imaging on a number of occasions. Our facility looks after residents living with Dementia and this is a wonderful service. They come straight to our facility and perform the x-ray in the comfort of the resident’s bedroom avoiding lengthy queues in A&E departments which can be particularly upsetting and confusing for people living with dementia. The service is very efficient and speedy and the radiographer has a really nice manner with our residents.

We engaged the Mobile x-ray unit for the first time in September 2024 to come and x-ray a resident with dementia. We had the referral form signed by our GP in advance. They were with us within two hours. There was no fuss, the x-ray was taken in the residents own room resulting in the resident being relaxed and co-operative. This cut out the resident being taken out of their familiar surroundings and having to sit waiting in a queue. Most important we had a result on the x-ray read by a Senior Radiologist within 4 hours.

Smooth, efficient, timely service. Person-centred by nature. Furthermore, their staff are very pleasant and respectful towards the residents who have used the service. Using the service prevented the need to transport and escort frail residents to hospital, dramatically reducing the disruption and discomfort to these residents. To date, it has been a same day service, with reports being available promptly following the X-ray. We have been delighted with the whole service and are very happy to recommend it.
